چکیده

High-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spray coating plays a major role in many surface treatment methods, which tend to improve erosion and corrosion resistance properties. HVOF is well known for its dense high-quality ability. This due the less in-flight exposure time, tends have oxide content because of high-velocity Among number process parameters, porosity hardness are predominant factors while considering wear rate behaviour analysis. The current study aims optimise parameters obtain low levels high values WC-10Ni-5Cr sprayed on 35 Mo Cr steel. flow rates oxygen, LPG, powder feed distance selected this as these superior influence final condition coating. Statistical tools such design experiments (DoE), analysis variants response methodology (RSM) were used achieve desired results. As per result analysis, oxygen has higher effect value microhardness

Modeling and control of HVOF thermal spray processing of WC–Co coatings

This work focuses on the modeling and feedback control of the high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) thermal spray processing of WC–Co coatings. A first-principles-based process model is proposed to explore the fluid dynamics and particle inflight behavior in the HVOF flow field. Rule-based stochastic simulation, which encapsulates the main features involved in the deposition process, is used to capt...

Multiscale Modeling of Hvof Thermal Spray Process

The major physicochemical processes involved in an industrial HVOF thermal spray process (Diamond Jet hybrid gun, Sulzer Metco, Westbury, NY) are studied by a comprehensive multiscale model. The model includes continuum type differential equations that describe the dynamics of gas phase and particles of different sizes, and a rule-based stochastic simulator that predicts the evolution of coatin...

Characterization of hydroxyapatiteynano-zirconia composite coatings deposited by high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spray process

Hydroxyapatite (HA)ynano-zirconia composite coatings were successfully produced through high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spraying of radio frequency (RF) plasma synthesized powders. Microstructure characterization and morphology analysis on the nano-structured coatings were conducted using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), and d...

Experimental and Numerical Study of Residual Stress in the WC-12Co HVOF Sprayed Coatings

Thermally sprayed coatings are intrinsically associated with residual stresses in the deposits. These stresses are varied in nature and magnitude, and have a pronounced effect on the mechanical behavior of the system. In the current study, WC-12Co coatings were deposited using HVOF thermal spraying. The sin2ψ method was used to evaluate the through thickness residual stress by means ...

Relationships between spray parameters, microstructures and ultrasonic cavitation erosion behavior of HVOF sprayed Fe-based amorphous/nanocrystalline coatings.

Fe-based amorphous/nanocrystalline coatings were prepared on the AISI 321 steel substrate by the high-velocity oxygen-fuel (HVOF) thermal spraying technology. The effect of selected parameters (oxygen flow, kerosene flow and spray distance) on the cavitation erosion resistance (denoted as Rc) of the coating were investigated by using the Taguchi method. Statistical tools such as design of exper...
